Meet the Med Club: Caleb Dodge

Caleb Dodge is a senior at Chelan High School. He’s been a member of the CHS Med Club for two years, and this year, he is their Event Coordinator. Caleb is interested in a physical therapy career (PT). He’s had a bunch of sport injuries himself, and he’s currently doing PT at Lake Chelan Health. So he has some first-hand knowledge about the need for and benefits of physical therapy! He sees a PT career as a chance to “give back”, to help people, and be an inspiration to other people to get better. He’s looked into physical therapy as a career and he has a kinesiology interest, the study of the human body. He’s currently pursuing a personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) that covers human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design. NASM is highly regarded for its quality and scientific rigor. “This certification allows me to gain skills that will directly transfer into my ultimate goal of becoming a physical therapist.”

Caleb plans on attending Washington State University in Fall 2018.
